Journalism professor Vahid Aghili dies
TEHRAN - Dr. Vahid Aghili, a journalist and university professor, died of cancer on Sunday at the age of 66.
Before becoming a faculty member, he worked for some years at the Tehran Times. He also worked as editor-in-chief of the Rassaneh magazine for five years.
Aghili also served as the managing director of the Farhightegan newspaper owned and run by the Islamic Azad University (IAU) from 2016-2017.
Aghili, a native of Isfahan, received his BA in English language from Shiraz University. In later years, he received his master's degree and PhD in journalism from the Islamic Azad University Science and Research Branch.
After graduation, he started teaching at the IAU Faculty of Communication Sciences and Media Studies.
